Our Erosion Control and Streambank Stabilization services use a variety of natural and sustainable techniques to prevent soil erosion, restore stream channels, and protect valuable riparian habitats. We work with clients to create customized solutions that enhance the aesthetics of the landscape while preserving natural resources and promoting long-term sustainability.
-
Our Wildlife Exclusion Area services focus on protecting trees, shrubs, and vegetation from wildlife browse and damage. We accomplish this by building fences around designated areas and using protective tubes to safeguard newly planted vegetation. Our goal is to promote healthy plant growth and enhance the aesthetics of your landscape while minimizing negative impacts from wildlife.

1. Mechanical
Removal of undesirable tree and shrub species (e.g. Damage stems, unwanted tree species) . This process is done by cutting the stem from 0-2” from the ground surface through the use of a brush or chainsaw. This enhances opportunities for desirable species to grow freely, as well as, improves future timber sales.
Removal of non-native trees and shrubs (e.g. Autumn Olive, Honeysuckle, Buckthorn, Black Locus). Machinery is often used to extract the root ball.
2. Chemical
Pin-point herbicide applications are often necessary when dealing with well established invasive plant populations.

When you engage BCOR's services, Michael will visit your property and spend an entire day, if necessary, exploring the area on foot, by vehicle, and scouting the land. The entire process will be documented with videos and pictures, while educating you about how deer use your property and taking note of your hunting experiences and observations.
Before leaving your property, BCOR will create a shortlist of immediate things that can be done, as well as a rough sketch highlighting the main areas that require improvement. The examination covers all aspects of your property, including stand locations, existing and potential bedding areas, travel corridors, entry and exit routes, screening and tree plantings, buck sneak trails, food plot locations, soil conditions for NO-TILL and cover crops, custom pollinator mixes for whitetails, and teaching you how to become a better and more efficient land manager and hunter.
Within a few weeks, you will receive a complete digital habitat plan that outlines all habitat improvements, including notes and pictures. A written report that outlines your goals and objectives for your property over the next 5-10 years will also be included. Additionally, the written plan will provide details of the entire scent control program with tips and tricks BCOR has learned. A screen recording of the habitat plan will be included, which can be viewed at any time and shared with anyone else hunting the property.
The cost of the service ranges from $500-$2000 plus 75c/mile, depending on the property size and complexity. Alternatively, if you wish to have your property scouted with you to determine ideal stand locations and habitat improvements, the cost ranges from $400 - $1000 plus travel.
